1 dead, 5 wounded in Russian bombardment of Kherson

A foreign national and children are among the civilians injured in a Russian artillery strikes targeting Kherson, according to the latest report from Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s office.

The bombardment that took place in the early hours Tuesday killed one woman and left 5 people wounded as Russian troops targeted the communities of Zymivnyk, Sadove, and Tyahynka. A 25-year-old woman later died in hospital from her injuries while her shell-shocked daughter is now getting treatment in the hospital.

Casualties were earlier reported after the attacks on residential areas in Kherson on the evening of August 12. The attacks injured a 35-year-old woman, a 61-year-old man, a 70-year-old woman, and a 7-year-old girl. In Antonivka, a 70-year-old man was injured by explosives dropped from a drone.
