1 killed, 8 wounded as Russian ballistic missile hits Odesa port

One person was killed and eight more injured after Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on the port infrastructure near Odesa on October 14.
Regional governor Oleh Kiper said that two of the injured are now in critical condition. All the casualties are workers of the Odesa port.
The attack damaged two civilian vessels. Remarkably, One of the ships, the dry cargo vessel OPTIMA flying the flag of Palau, was hit for the second time in a week. The previous attack left several of its foreign crew members injured. The other vessel, NS Moon, sails under the Belizean flag.
The strike caused severe damage to grain storage facilities, cargo cranes, equipment, and buildings belonging to the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
The Odesa Prosecutor’s Office said they have launched an investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war. Prosecutors are working on the scene of the attack to determine the full extent of casualties and destruction.
