125 battles recorded on Friday as fighting intensifies at Kurakhove – frontline update

Ukrainian Armed Forces report a surge in combat activity on Friday, with 125 battle engagements recorded along the frontline by 4:00 pm. Russian forces are focusing their efforts on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhive directions.

Key Battlefronts:

  • Northern Regions (Chernihiv and Sumy): Russian artillery and air attacks continue across multiple villages, including Novovasylivka, Stara Huta, and Pokrovka. Bobylivka sustained airstrikes, highlighting a significant escalation in air activity.
  • Kharkiv Sector: Ukrainian forces repelled two Russian assaults near Vovchansk.
  • Kupiansk Sector: Ukrainian defenders held off two attacks near Holubivka, and intense fighting persists in the Vyshneve area.
  • Lyman Sector: Russian troops launched assaults near Hrekivka, Terny, and Torske, leading to 19 engagements, with four still active.
  • Siversk Sector: Russian forces attempted advances near Ivano-Darivka and Vyimka, resulting in three engagements.
  • Kramatorsk Sector: Fighting intensifies as Russian forces try to push Ukrainian defenders near Chasiv Yar, with Novoiehorivka also sustaining an airstrike.
  • Toretsk Sector: Backed by assault and bomber aircraft, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions near Toretsk. Airstrikes struck Toretsk, Druzhba, Troitske, and Katerynivka, with five guided bombs deployed.
  • Pokrovsk Sector: This sector remains a hotspot, with heavy fighting near Selidove, Krasnyi Yar, and Myroliubivka. Russian forces have launched 35 assault attempts against Ukrainian positions.
  • Kurakhove Sector: Five active engagements are underway near Hostre, Katerynivka, and Novodmytrivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 Russian assaults here today.
  • Vremivka Sector: Ukrainian forces repelled 10 Russian attacks near Bohoyavlenka and Novoukrainka, with seven more assaults ongoing.
  • Orikhiv Sector: Russian airstrikes targeted multiple locations, including Novoandriivka and Novodanylivka, with 13 guided bombs dropped.
  • Dnipro Sector: Ukrainian forces foiled Russian attempts to displace them from their positions, delivering a strong counter-response.
