On Friday, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Mykolaiv. The attack struck a playground near a residential building, killing three people, including a child, and wounding five others.
Mykolaiv Governor Vitaliy Kim expressed his gratitude to the local residents who assisted the first responders at the scene.
“The residents of Mykolaiv, you are incredible! Everyone rushed to help before the ambulances arrived. The situation is relatively stable, though there was another strike in the suburbs. More details on casualties will come later. The feeling of anger I have is an understatement,” added the governor.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the missile attack on Mykolaiv, posting photos from the strike.
“My condolences to the families and loved ones. Russia’s terror proves it faces insufficient pressure. Such destruction of life must be stopped. New measures are needed to support our defense. Russia must feel the strength of the world,” stressed Zelensky.
