4 firefigthers among 6 injured after Russian attack strikes Kharkiv

Russian forces launched an attack on Kharkiv on Tuesday, injuring six people, four of whom were firefighters, according to local officials.

The strikes saw Russian air planes target the Kyiv district of Kharkiv using precision-guided bombs known as KABs. According to regional governor Oleg Synehubov, one of the bombs hit what he called an “open area”, while another landed in a park near a shopping centre.

At the moment of the strike, the firefighters were on the scene tackling a blaze in the area. Emergency services have been dispatched to assess the impact and verify the number of casualties.
