43% Ukrainians believe Ukraine becomes less democratic during Zelensky presidency, – poll

According to the Kyiv Institute of Sociology survey, 43% of Ukrainians believe that the level of democracy in the country has deteriorated during the presidency of Volodymyr Zelensky.

19% of respondents believe that the situation with democracy in Ukraine has improved over these five years, 29% – it has not changed, and 43% – it has worsened.

Among those Ukrainians who see certain deterioration, 11% associate it with the objective circumstances of the wartime, 28% believe that the level of democracy is worse because of the actions of the authorities, and 3% named both reasons.

As for the economic situation in Ukraine during Zelensky’s presidency, 17% believe that the situation has improved, 21% – it has not changed, and 49% – it has worsened.

16.5% associate the deterioration of the economic situation in Ukraine with the war, but 23% of Ukrainians believe that the reason is the erroneous actions of the authorities.
