“Dovbush” movie director Oles Sanin revealed on Tuesday that five of his production crew members have died in combat and seven are missing after the Feb.24 invasion.

At least 70 “Dovbush” production crew members—ranging from actors, stunt performers, and film technicians to artists and camera operators—are now serving in the Ukrainian army.  Two actors joined the 68th Jaeger Brigade, named after Oleksa Dovbush. Some are fighting in the Kursk region, while others are working in intelligence.  .

Many of the actresses who were part of the movie had to take their children out of the country and are now working abroad, added Sanin.

The movie director remains optimistic: “As long as the war continues, people ask me about my next film. I tell them, ‘My next film is victory”.
