During the government meeting, prime minister of Ukraine said that 88% of the schools in the country are equipped with shelters.

‘School shelters are under special control. Currently, 88% of schools and 93% of students and teachers are provided with them,’ he stated.

According to him, the goal is to bring this indicator to almost 100%. In addition, the government wants to modernize shelters. For this purpose, 2.5 billion hryvnias have been allocated in the state budget.

The government is also forming the Educational Security Service in schools. The presence of trained police officers, as noted by Denys Shmyhal, will protect children from various threats.
