Russian agent exposed in Chernivtsi region

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained a Russian agent who collected intelligence for missile and drone attacks on the critical infrastructure of Chernivtsi region.

The detainee is a 36-year-old resident of the region who got in touch with the Russian special services and offered his help in the war against Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the agent tried to establish the location of warehouses with fuel and lubricants in the territory of the city and its surroundings.

To communicate with the invaders, the man used one of the Russian video chats, which is controlled by the special services of the Russian Federation.

The SBU continues investigation into the case. The agent may face 15 years of imprisonment under the article of high treason.
