The successful operation by Ukrainian reconnaissance units of the ‘Rubizh’ brigade led to the capture of ‘several dozen’ Russian troops, said  Ukraine’s Interior Ministry in its statement on Monday.

“Most of the captured troops had been mobilized and were doomed, but they chose life and laid down their arms. Our fighters provided them with all necessary medical aid.”

Ukrainian officials emphasized that their ‘fighters’ have ‘honor and dignity’, treating prisoners of war in a ‘humane manner’, in a contrast to  Russia’s alleged “atrocities, civilian killings, torture, and intimidation of unarmed civilians’.
