Aid for Syria and Kursk operation: Zelensky holds commander-in-chief staff meeting

On Monday, Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Commander-in-Chief’s Staff on discuss several key issues related to Ukraine’s security and international policy.
The discussion addressed the situation in Syria following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s regime. Zelensky said it is important to see normalcy restored in the country.
He was also presented reports by representatives of Ukraine’s intelligence agencies — the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
“Ukraine is interested in the stabilization of Syria and the region. It is crucial to eliminate any Russian presence in Syria, which is vital for the security of both the Syrian people and the broader region,” Zelenskyy explained.
The Ukrainian leader said Kyiv is ready to collaborate with representatives of the Syrian people to help address the mistakes of the Assad regime, particularly those affecting Ukraine and Europe.
The Staff also made decisions to support Syria’s food security with Ukraine now willing to send necessary food aid to the war-torn regions of the country.
In addition, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Syrsky reported on the situation on the front lines, particularly in areas involved in the Kursk Operation. Zelenskyy stressed the risks posed by North Korea’s potential deployment of additional troops and equipment to support the Russian military in this region.
