‘Alphabet of the Ukrainian identity’ became winner at European Design Awards

Abetka – Typeface Alphabet of the Ukrainian Identity became the winner in the Integrated Identity Application category at the annual European competition in the field of communication design European Design Awards. In addition, it received the Jury Prize.

‘Each letter of our alphabet is dedicated to one symbol, without which Ukraine would not be the country we know, love and stand for. On the pages of this project you will find 33 events, figures, symbols and signs that accompanied Ukraine on the way to regaining independence in 1991 and support us in the struggle for it now,’ the developers state.

According to Oleksandr Tregubov, the head of the Projector Creative & Tech Online Institute, the jury unanimously recognized the Ukrainian font as the winner.

Each letter of the Alphabet of the Ukrainian Identity reflects an important aspect of Ukrainian history and culture.
