President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday, February 26, that without US military assistance, Ukraine would not be able to protect the Black Sea grain corridor.

The corridor along the western coast of the Black Sea allowed Ukraine to export millions of tons of grain to global markets.

However, the president warns that unless the US Congress approves $60 billion in aid to Ukraine, the future of the grain corridor will be in doubt.

‘I think the route will be closed…because to defend it, it’s also about some ammunition, some air defense, and some other systems,’ Zelensky said.
