Bodies of 501 fallen Ukrainian soldiers returned to Ukraine — Coordination Headquarters

On Friday, Ukraine has repatriated the bodies of 501 fallen service members, according to  the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

The repatriation includes 382 bodies of soldiers killed in the Avdiivka sector, 56 from the Bakhmut front, 45 from the Mariinka direction, six from Vuhledar, four from the Zaporizhzhia region, and seven who fought in Luhansk. One additional body was recovered from a morgue on Russian territory.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces will transfer the remains to state facilities, where law enforcement and forensic experts will carry out the identification process. Once identified, the bodies will be returned to their families for proper burial.
