Casualties in Kryvyi Rih after Russian missile strike (UPDATED)

Russian troops launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, striking a residential building and causing significant damage and injuries.
“Kryvyi Rih. Missile strike. We know the location. Emergency teams are on-site,” wrote Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, minutes after the blasts rocked the city.
According to regional governor Serhiy Lysak, the missile hit a four-story residential building housing 32 apartments.
“Rescue teams are working at the scene. Unfortunately, we are preparing for grim news,” Vilkul added.
Initially, there there six injured people but as first responders started to work at the site the number of casualities rose to 11, including a 16-year-old girl. Seven people were rushed to hospitals in critical condition. At 5 50 pm one person was proclaimed dead after his body was recovered from the rubble and medics failed to bring him back to life.
Emergency crews continue rescue operations amid the devastation.
