Kharkiv residents had a rough night on Sunday as Russian forces launched several attacks that targeted the city and its suburbs. The first wave battered Shevchenkivskyi, Saltivskyi, and Kholodnohirskyi districts. Meanwhile, Chuhuiv was shelled with Tornado-S rocket systems. The attacks injured 21 people, including five children.
In Kharkiv’s Kholodnohirskyi district, emergency response teams continue rescue operations. The shelling caused a collapse between the eighth and ninth floors of an apartment building, completely destroying three apartments. According to Kharkiv’s mayor, the attack injured seven people, among them a 16-year-old girl.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that in Saltivskyi district, a shell struck near a private house, injuring two men, aged 63 and 77, as well as a 76-year-old woman who showed signs of acute stress. The attack also damaged a hotel, residential homes, and utility buildings.
In Shevchenkivskyi district, shelling hit a residential area, wounding a 51-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman. Another woman, aged 62, experienced severe stress in the aftermath.
In Chuhuiv, shelling caused a fire at a utility structure, and at least eight people sustained injuries, including five children. None of the injured required hospitalization, although several of the children exhibited acute stress responses.
Preliminary reports suggest that enemy forces carried out the shelling in Kharkiv using FAB-250 guided bombs launched from Russia’s Belgorod region.
