Ukrenergo informed about the condition of the energy system of Ukraine and warned about the possibility of emergency power outages in the evening.

Experts note that after yesterday’s massive shelling of energy facilities in Ukraine, there is a significant shortage of electricity almost 24 hours a day, with the exception of daytime hours.

‘The lack of electricity is significant. In order to avoid outages of household consumers, the Ukrenergo Dispatch Center applies all possible measures to overcome the shortage: import and emergency aid from European countries, limiting the consumption of industrial consumers,’ the statement says.

Despite the taken measures, from 6:00 to 12:00 pm, capacity limitation schedules for industrial consumers will be in effect.

The company also stated that if the consumption of electricity remains high they will need to introduce emergency outages. To avoid this, the population is urged to use electricity sparingly.
