Defense minister Rustem Umerov invites Turkey to join ‘sea coalition’

Defense minister of Ukraine Rustem Umerov had a meeting with Turkey’s ambassador to Ukraine Levent Bilgen.

During the meeting, the minister thanked Turkey and invited to join the ‘sea coalition’ to strengthen security in the Black Sea.

‘We are grateful to Turkey for supporting Ukraine from the first day of the full-scale invasion in the matter of guaranteeing the security of the Black Sea. We invite Turkey to join the ‘sea coalition’, the minister said.

The parties also discussed potential cooperation in defense production.

Ambassador Levent Bilgen emphasized that Turkey’s comprehensive support for Ukraine will continue.

The efforts of the ‘sea coalition’ initiated by Great Britain and Norway are aimed at stopping Russia’s interference in the freedom of navigation.
