Efficiency of power units of Ukrainian nuclear power plants reached 100%

Power units of Ukrainian nuclear plants increased the utilization rate of the installed capacity in the autumn-winter period.
In 2020-2021, this ratio was 64.7%, and during the last heating season – 81.9%.
Instead, the ratio is now 100%.
‘For the first time in the history of the domestic nuclear power industry, it was possible to achieve a 100% utilization factor of the installed capacity. The blocks work at their maximum throughout the autumn and winter period,’ Energoatom company said in the statement.
The company explained that they revised the approach to planned and preventive repairs, shifting the emphasis to the maximum operation of power units in the autumn-winter period.
