On Wednesday, EU ambassadors agreed to transfer €4.2 billion to the Ukrainian goverment, marking the first regular payment under the Ukraine Facility.

The allocated funds are intended to support Ukraine’s recovery, reconstruction, and modernization efforts.

The Ukraine Facility, established to aid the war-torn country, comprises €33 billion in loans and €17 billion in grants. These financial aids are conditional upon the Ukrainian government implementing specific reforms.

The European Commission sanctioned this disbursement earlier this month.
