‘European Solidarity’ MP Iryna Friz announced that she would initiate the dismissal of MP Mariana Bezuhla from the post of the head of the subcommittee on democratic civil oversight and control.
The meeting of the Parliament Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence is to be held on November 28. Iryna Friz noted that a number of Bezuhla’s posts on social media create conditions ‘for the destruction of unity in the society, undermine trust in the military leadership of the country in the conditions of martial law’.
Iryna Friz wrote that she ‘initiated the Committee’s consideration of the issue of her [Bezuhla’s] removal from the position of the head of the subcommittee on democratic civilian oversight and control’.
‘If the dismissal of Mariana Bezuhla from the position of the deputy head of the committee requires a decision of the parliament, which is blocked despite two resolutions from the representative of the President in the parliament, a member of our committee Fedir Venislavskyi and the co-chair of the ‘European Solidarity’ parliamentary group Iryna Herashchenko, then the decision of the Committee on National Security will be enough to remove the leadership of the subcommittee. I count on the readiness of the committee members to consider the issue and make a decision’, – MP Friz said.
She emphasized that politicians should ‘counteract not only the external enemy, but also internal destabilization’, and stop discrediting the military.
Earlier, Petro Poroshenko commented on Bezuhla’s statement.
