Group of Ukrainian men nearly triggers mines while trying to flee to Belarus

A group of men narrowly avoided a deadly incident while attempting to illegally cross the border into Belarus through a mined area. Ukraine’s border guards prevented the breach, saving the draft-dodgers from possible blasts.  The men will be handed over to the military enlistment office

The State Border Guard Service issued a stern warning, reminding potential violators of the grave risks involved. “Organizers of such ‘journeys’ don’t care about the safety of their ‘clients,'” the Border Guard Service wrote in its statement on Friday.
