Kurakhove, Kupiansk, and Pokorovsk remain flashpoint areas on frontlines – military update

Kurakhove, Kupiansk, and Pokrovsk have seen the most intense figthing  on Friday, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As of 4 pm, the total number of combat engagements has risen to 79.

Russian forces have launched airstrikes and artillery bombardments targeting the Sumy region. Reports indicate 13 airstrikes using 23 guided bombs. They also have targeted their own Kursk region with 20 guided bombs.

In the Kharkiv area, there were three combat clashes near Starytsia and Vovchansk since the start of the day, with two still ongoing. The enemy dropped two bombs near Vovchansk.

On the Kupiansk front, Russian forces attempted 11 assaults near Synkivka, Novoselivka, Pishchane, Stelmakhivka, and Lozova. Fighting continues, and Hlushkivka was hit by an airstrike.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attacked near Hrekivka, Makiivka, Novosadove, and Torske, with eight clashes so far, two of which are ongoing. The enemy also dropped 20 bombs on Iziumske, Zarichne, Ozerne, and Lyman.

The Siversk front remains contested, as Russian forces twice attempted to push Ukrainian defenders near Verkhnokamianske, but were repelled. Russian airstrikes targeted Zakytne, Pereizne, and Riznykivka.

On the Kramatorsk front, Russian forces attempted six assaults near Kalynivka, Stupochky, and Andriivka. Additionally, they attacked Chasiv Yar with unguided missiles and dropped a guided bomb on Yurivka.

In the Toretsk sector, enemy forces received air support launching eight attacks on Ukrainian positions, with seven clashes still underway near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

Fierce fighting continues in the Pokrovsk area, particularly near Mykolaivka, Selydove, and Lysivka, where the enemy has launched seven assaults. Combat continues in four locations, and Russian military planes struck Pokrovsk and Selydove using guided bombs.

The situation at Kurakhove remains especially tense, with Russian forces conducting 16 attacks since the start of the day. The enemy attempted to advance near Tsukurine, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Antonivka, Kostiantynivka, and toward Bohoiavlenka. Six battles continue in this sector.

In the Orikhiv sector, near Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaky, and Kamianske, Russian troops attempted to advance four times but were met with fierce resistance. A battle is ongoing near Kamianske.
