Fedir Androshchuk, Director of the National Museum of History of Ukraine, has allegedly failed to return to Kyiv after he was supposed to show up at work on September 20.

Breaking the news of his vanishing act, Ukrainian MP Solomiya Bobrovska was indignant.

“It seems he made use his other citizenships -why he even has them is another matter – departed for assignments in Italy and Sweden, and apparently went missing during an exhibition opening in Lithuania,” Bobrovska wrote on Facebook.

Remarkably,  Androshchuk somehow still holds the position of museum director. Bobrovska has urged the country’s culture minister to look into the scandalous situation.

“The National Museum of History of Ukraine, with its 800,000 exhibits, represents the history of our nation from Trypillia and the Scythians to independence. The fact that Androshchuk is still in charge of this iconic institution is, to put it mildly, a disgrace,” the lawmaker remarked indignantly.
