Russia launched missiles at Ukraine’s capital in the early hours on New Year’s Day, with reports of debris falling in one of the city’s districts, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.

According to reports, the attack involved Kh-47 “Kinzhal” hypersonic missiles. Kyiv officials confirmed the attack was foiled by Ukrainian defense systems.

Later updates from the city administration revealed that missile debris fell in the Darnytskyi district.

“According to verified information, the debris landed on the roof of a private property. There were no fires or structural damage. No reports of casualties have been received,” the statement said.
