The Khmelnytskyi Medical and Diagnostic Center has started selling electricity produced by solar panels installed on the roof of the medical facility.

This is a unique case for Ukraine when a medical facility produces and sells electricity. The center specializes in providing consultative and diagnostic medical assistance to the population.

Last year, a solar power plant with a total capacity of 100 kW was installed on the roofs of three clinics of the Khmelnytskyi Medical and Diagnostic Center.

Hospitals usually generate electricity for their own needs. However, now, during hours when more electricity is produced than consumed, the surplus can be sold to the grid. According to approximate estimates, this will enable hospitals to save about 5-10% of funds.

In addition, the solar panels will help the medical facility to function and continue to provide the necessary medical services in critical situations.
