Ukraine’s digital conscription platform known as “Reserve+” app is set to get an update that will include medical examination forms, online recruitment and training, and student and family deferments, according to Ukraine’s defense deputy minister Kateryna Chernohorenko.
Adding an online recruitment option will help the defense ministry to streamline mobilization and contracted service while online medical examination forms will allow to skip routine visits to military enlistment and recruitment centers. Reserve+” will offer online deferrals for full-time students and parents of multiple children. This feature will integrate with other government registries, enabling automatic deferments and eliminating the need for long waits. The app update will be rolled at the end of 2024.
While the deadline for mobilization papers update was July 16, the conscription application remains ‘popular’ among Ukrainian men going into the army, said Chernohorenko.
Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest Group has completed the construction of an upgraded underground NATO Role 2 hospital in one of the hottest sectors of the frontline. This is the second stabilization point established under the Steel Front initiative in cooperation with the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The new facility, funded by Metinvest with an investment of UAH 21 million, is more secure than the first one thanks to its deeper location underground (over 6 meters) and additional fortifications.
Five armored vehicles “Kozak” have received a new mission – thanks to the support of Metinvest, they have been upgraded to full-fledged command and staff vehicles. These upgraded vehicles are now operating on the front line.
