The leader of the ‘European Solidarity’ party, Petro Poroshenko, during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, stated that the party will support the law on mobilization if it is submitted by the President of Ukraine.

‘For the ninth time, the European Solidarity unanimously supports the decision to extend martial law and mobilization as projects submitted by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine. Because it is the Head of State who must submit and introduce laws and amendments to the mobilization legislation,’ Poroshenko stated.

He emphasized that the party is ready to work with the amendments proposed by the President of Ukraine, and “not with the junk that the odious MP drew up at the request of the President’s Office”.

Poroshenko also called on the authorities to return to the legal field, restore full-fledged parliamentary democracy and stop the persecution of journalists and the opposition.

‘Only the protection of the parliament from such pressure and the restoration of the authority of the parliament today can protect democracy. That is why we demand, first, to return journalists to the Verkhovna Rada. Second, to resume the live broadcast of parliamentary sessions.
