A massive daylight Russian attack on Kyiv on Monday morning has left at least 5 people dead and nine more injured, said Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv Military Administration in a statement on Telegram.

Explosions were heard across the capital soon after Ukraine’s Air Force warned about  a barrage of Russian missile entering Ukriane’s air space.

Debris from the attack have been reported in several city districts.  Several fires broke out in residential areas while the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital suffered some still ‘unspecified’ damage.

Emergency services are actively working at the scenes.
