The head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure, Mustafa Nayem, has submitted the resignation letter.

‘I am leaving the position of the head of the Reconstruction Agency.

I made the decision on my own due to the systemic obstacles that do not allow me to effectively exercise my powers,’ he wrote.

As Nayem noted, since November 2023, the Agency team has been meeting constant opposition, resistance, and artificial obstacles.

In particular, according to him, the Agency’s budget for road reconstruction and maintenance projects was completely canceled, and the salaries of the majority of employees were cut by up to 68%.

The official added that he will perform his duties until the government decides on his dismissal.
