During a recent meeting of the Parliamentary finance committee on Thusday,  Andriy Pyshnyi, Chief of the National Bank of Ukraine, revealed  the bank will soon introduce limits on card-to-card transfers.

“We are currently in talks with volunteers. We aim for our bank’s policy on this contentious issue to be clear and to find understanding with those who have concerns about the move,” said Pyshnyi.

Bank card transactions are widely used by volunteers for fundraising campaigns to aid Ukraine’s army, which explains bankers’ cautious approach.

Pyshnyi said the National Bank of Ukraine is currently in a “second round of talks” with volunteers to “gather their ideas for analysis.”
