Number of bankruptcies in Ukraine increased by 2.2 times in 2024

Since the beginning of 2024, the number of Ukrainians who have applied to the court for bankruptcy has increased.

The number is 2.2 times more than in the same period last year. In the first five months of this year, 343 such cases were registered, compared to 156 last year.

Over the past five years, the number of bankruptcy cases in Ukraine has increased significantly, to almost two thousand. The last report that 575 people declared themselves bankrupts.

This is a significant increase compared to 2019, when only 22 bankruptcy cases were launched.

Since then, this number has been constantly growing. Experts say that official statistics may not reflect all bankrupts. The reason is that bankruptcy remains an expensive and difficult process, especially without professional help.
