On Tuesday, Odesa authorities dismantled a monument to Soviet-era actor and singer Vladimir Vysotsky, which was part of the facade of the Odesa Film Studio.

The removal came after numerous public requests for its relocation. The monument was taken down at 10:00 p.m. and transferred to the studio backyard.

“The Odesa Film Studio team has decided to reinstall the monument on the studio grounds, near one of the pavilions,” the studio said in a Facebook post.

Currently, the studio is navigating approval processes and seeking financial resources to fund the relocation and installation of the monument in its new location.
