In the last two months after public services ‘Dia’ app added the online marriage service, its users have made over 1.3 million proposals, though only 600 couples have officially tied the knot so far.
“We are the first in the world to put into use a fully online marriage process. During wartime, when thousands of couples are separated, this service holds special significance. Diia allows people to marry easily and quickly, without putting love on hold,” said minister of digital transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
To use the service, couples must fill out an application form, select a date, and join an online ceremony with a registrar.
