On December 10, the Peace Light of Bethlehem arrived in Kyiv. At the Central Railway Station, the Ukrainian scouts handed it over to the representatives of the railway.
From here, 14 trains will bring the Peace Light to 24 destinations. The list includes cities all over Ukraine.
The Bethlehem Light will be handed over to the military, volunteers, and public organizations.
The campaign was started in 1986 by the Austrian Broadcasting Company as a charitable act – to bring light from the symbolic birthplace of Jesus Christ to those who celebrate Christmas outside their homes – in hospitals, orphanages, etc. The project was supported by the scouts of Vienna.
The Light was first brought to Ukraine in 1992 as a scout initiative.
Military serviceman of the International Legion for the Defense of Ukraine with the call sign “Paradox” is the crew commander of the American M113 armored personnel carrier. He is a master at using it and is constantly improving, because the legionnaire’s skills are tested every day in battle. You have to drive to the front lines, often under artillery fire and drone attacks.
