The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, again did not sign the document allowing Petro Poroshenko to go abroad to participate in the Munich Security Conference due to the alleged threat to his life abroad.

In addition, this broke the agreements to meet with the politicians in Poland and Israel.

Despite receiving official invitations for Poroshenko, the head of the Verkhovna Rada did not sign the business trip. The reason was allegedly the appeal of the head of the intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov regarding the ‘alleged danger’ for Poroshenko during his stay in Europe.

During the planned visits, Petro Poroshenko had to meet with the Polish establishment, take part in the 60th Munich Security Conference, and make a solidarity visit to Israel as part of a high-level delegation of the International Democratic Union.

Petro Poroshenko reminded that this is the second time he is not allowed abroad. The first incident took place in December.

‘In Munich, I had scheduled meetings with the delegation of the Republican Party. And you know that congressmen of the Republican Party are blocking such a necessary decision for Ukraine,’ the former president wrote.
