Police destroy over 300,000 cannabis plants in Odesa region

Ukraine’s police said they discovered and destroyed the plantation of 300,000 cannabis plants in the Odesa region. The 7-hectare farm, covering an area equivalent to 10 football fields, was found by investigators from the Strategic Investigations Department in a village in the Rozdilna district.

The detectives who got the wind of the farm  soon discovered the land located a few kilometers  from the Moldovan border belongs to a local forestry and was listed as part of the “country’s forest fund”.

Police found a total of 332,000 cannabis plants, along with a tractor and trailer on-site. The estimated value of the plants on the black market is about 300 million hryvnias. All narcotic plants have been destroyed.
