Polish farmers are at it again. On Friday, they revealed their plan to block the Medyka–Shehyni border crossing  on November 23 at 9 am in a protest of what they believe unfair competion from their Ukrainian counterparts.

Polish customs officials have confirmed that the protest organizers will allow buses and passenger vehicles to pass freely in both directions. However, they will block freight traffic, with the following restrictions:

  • Only one truck will be allowed to go into Ukraine every hour.
  •  All trucks weighing over 3.5 tons will be completely blocked from leaving Ukraine.

At present, the border crossing operations continue, with no disruptions in the clearance of transport taking place at the border.
