The former president of Ukraine and leader of the ‘European Solidarity’ party Petro Poroshenko called on Germany to support invitation of Ukraine to NATO at Washington summit.
Poroshenko said this during his meeting with the head of the foreign affairs committee of the Bundestag, Michael Roth.
He also stated this during his speech and discussion organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. According to Poroshenko, the Bundestag should adopt a special resolution and appeal to other NATO member countries to support Ukraine’s invitation to the Alliance.
He also noted that Russia has destroyed international law, and the only mechanism that allows preserving peace is Ukraine’s membership in NATO.
‘I propose that the Bundestag adopt a resolution calling on all NATO member states to accept Ukraine, to invite it,’ Petro Poroshenko said.
The former president also called on Germany to provide Taurus missiles and air defense systems.

This is the second stabilization point established under the Steel Front initiative in cooperation with the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The new facility, funded by Metinvest with an investment of UAH 21 million, is more secure than the first one thanks to its deeper location underground (over 6 meters) and additional fortifications.
