The Poroshenko Foundation will finance the restoration of the Roman Shukhevych museum in Lviv. The building was destroyed by the Russian drone on January 1.

‘The place that the Russians purposefully destroyed today is not just a museum. This is the place where important decisions were made for Ukraine at the beginning of the 20th century. The place where the basis of the Ukrainian army and the idea of independent Ukrainian statehood were created,’ Petro Poroshenko wrote.

The former president emphasized that Russians, like real Nazis, are destroying Ukrainian national memory. He reminded about the attacks on the Maria Prymachenko museum and the Skovoroda museum. He added that the rockets will not burn the memory.

The Poroshenko couple decided to rebuild the destroyed Shukhevych museum in order to preserve it for the future generations. The Poroshenko Foundation will finance all necessary works.
