During his speech at the Assembly of the European People’s Party, Petro Poroshenko called on the European partners to do everything possible for Ukraine’s victory.

‘The challenges during this election campaign have never been more difficult. And they turned these elections into a European vote of confidence – in our principles, our values, leadership and strategy,’ the former president said.

Poroshenko stated that the European Commission has never been as effective as during the five years under the leadership of Ursula von der Leyen, noting that it was Ukraine that expanded the borders of the European Union and made it stronger than ever.

During his speech, he listed the key elements for Ukraine’s victory.

They include support Ukraine until victory, further sanctions to stop Putin’s ability to fund war, membership of Ukraine in the EU and NATO, and financial assistance to Ukraine to support macroeconomic stability.

Poroshenko is convinced that Ukraine should be among the priorities of the European Commission’s agenda. The commitment to support Ukraine should be one of the key requirements for new members of the European Parliament.

The plaintiff claims the document was falsified and that the sanctions are a tool of political persecution of the opposition, contrary to international norms. Government representatives deny the allegations and insist their actions were lawful. Journalists of Bukvy were present at the hearing.

Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest Group has completed the construction of an upgraded underground NATO Role 2 hospital in one of the hottest sectors of the frontline. This is the second stabilization point established under the Steel Front initiative in cooperation with the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The new facility, funded by Metinvest with an investment of UAH 21 million, is more secure than the first one thanks to its deeper location underground (over 6 meters) and additional fortifications.
