Ukrenergo has announced that rolling blackouts will be in effect across  Ukraine on Friday, November 22. Citizens are urged to conserve electricity during these planned outages. The outages will have several zones

  • 6:00 – 7:00: One blackout group affected
  • 7:00 – 18:00: Two blackout groups affected
  • 18:00 – 22:00: One blackout group affected

Ukrenergo said the power supply restrictions are a “temporary measure’  to balance the hobbled power system after it suffered significant damage to energy facilities during the massive missile and drone attack on November 17.

Energy repair crews are scrambling to fix the damaged sites as fast as they can, according to Ukrenergo.

It also warned that the scope and timing of outages might change during the day, meaning that residents will need to check real-time updates on their regional power company’s official website or social media.

To avoid overloading the system, residents are asked not to turn on multiple high-power appliances when power is back.
