Ukrainians will have to cope with extended emergency power outages after Ukraine’s power grid operator, Ukrenergo said on Thursday it is bringing strict power supply restrictions due to the damage to energy infrastructure caused by a missile and drone attack on Nov 28
For household consumers, the power outage schedules will be as follows:
- 00:00 – 06:00 — One group of consumers will be disconnected
- 06:00 – 14:00 — Two groups will be disconnected
- 14:00 – 18:00 — Three groups will be disconnected
- 18:00 – 22:00 — Two groups will be disconnected
- 22:00 – 24:00 — One group will be disconnected
Industries and businesses will experience power restrictions all day long on Friday.
Ukrenergo said its crews are working to repair the damaged infrastructure as quickly as possible, but timing and extent of outages may change depending on the situation.
Consumers are encouraged to reduce power usage to help ease the load on the grid.
