On his visit to New York, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky had a meeting with former president and Republican nominee Donald Trump. Held on Friday morning at Trump Tower, the meeting marks a significant moment in Zelensky’s visit to the U.S.
Speaking briefly to the press before they sat down to talks, the former president admitted that Ukraine is dealing with the serious challenge, adding it was ‘an honor’ to meet with Zelensky .
In his short comments, Zelensky stressed that he and Trump he and Trump share a “common view that the war … has to be stopped, and Putin can’t win and Ukrainians have to prevail.’
Trump sounded optimistic telling the reporters that he had a ‘very good relationship’ with both Zelensky and Putin, which, in his view, will help to end the war in Ukraine.
“We’re going to work very much with both parties to try and get this settled very quickly” said he.

Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest Group has completed the construction of an upgraded underground NATO Role 2 hospital in one of the hottest sectors of the frontline.
