President Zelensky arrives in the UK for a crucial meeting
Source: BBCOn October 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky touched down in the UK for a crucial meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer. This visit marks an attempt of Kyiv to strengthen its international alliances amidst ongoing conflict.
During t, Zelensky revealed plans to discuss the details of his “victory plan” with the UK leadership, while Prime Minister Starmer reaffirmed Britain’s unwavering commitment to supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
Joining the talks were key figures from the UK’s defense and security apparatus, including the head of the British armed forces, the defence secretary and the prime minister’s senior national security adviser.
NATO’s new Secretary General, Mark Rutte, also participated in the talks at the Downing Street, signaling broad international backing for Ukraine.
Following his UK visit, Zelensky plans to continue his diplomatic tour with stops in France, Germany, and Italy to further strengthen ties and rally support for Ukraine.
