Russian forces execute wounded Ukrainian soldier in Bakhmut – reports

Russian forces in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk Oblast have allegedly executed a wounded Ukrainian soldier. The story made Ukrainian Office of the Prosecutor General open an investigation into the incident.
The soldier is believed to have been injured in combat and later taken captive by enemy troops. Prosecutors claim the unarmed soldier was lying on the ground when Russian troops shot him.
According to reports, the execution occurred on the morning of September 6 near the “Phenol Plant” in the occupied village of New York.
This barbarian act constitutes a severe violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a grave international crime, according to the prosecutor’s office
