In what appears to be a bitter warning, the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade deputy commander, Maksym Zhurin, admitted that Russian forces are currently making “rapid gains” on the battlefield.

Zhurin took to Telegram to warn that the scenario where Russians troops will try to capture Kyiv again should not be taken lightly,  and a lot depends now on Ukrainian military capabilities.

“The truth is, the Russians are advancing rapidly, and it’s not hard to notice, even on publicly available maps,” said Zhurin. “Victory dance, hopes, and wishes won’t stop them. Russians will stop only when they get their a** kicked.”

The officer known for his forthright statement argued that  everyone should step up as “the war could soon reach the doorstep of every Ukrainian”, including those who are not avoiding the draft.

“It’s simple: the sooner we defeat the Russians, the sooner the war will end,” Zhurin emphasized.
