Russian missile attack on Kharkiv injures 23 people

Russian missile attack struck the Kyiv district of Kharkiv on Monday, injuring 23 people, 13 of whom required hospitalization. The attack also caused a fire at the site of the attack.

The missile strike targeted a residential area in the city center, damaging 41 buildings. Several utility structures and three cars were set ablaze. The blast also shattered windows in many apartment buildings and damaged the facade of a non-residential two-story structure.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on social media that the strike damaged  the office of Center for Administrative Services.

According to initial reports, the attack was carried out using an S-400 missile system.

The injured included 13 women and 6 men aged 21 to 71. Sixteen of the victims are in moderate condition, while others suffered minor injuries.

Emergency services have put out the fire and are now working to assess the extent of the destruction.
