Russian occupiers did not allow IAEA experts to the reactors at Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant

The president of Energoatom, Petro Kotin, stated that the denial of IAEA experts to the reactors of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is an attempt by the Russian occupiers to hide the true situation at the site.
He stressed that the only legitimate operator of the largest nuclear facility in Europe – the Zaporizhzhia NPP – is Energoatom, so only the return of the plant to the full control of Ukraine can ensure its nuclear and radiation safety.
‘The only way out is complete demilitarization and de-occupation of the ZNPP and adjacent territories. This is a key prerequisite for restoring not only nuclear security, but also respect for international law,’ he said.
According to the information of the International Atomic Energy Agency, specialists of the monitoring mission cannot gain access to all areas of the site, in particular to the reactor units No. 1, 2 and 6.
After the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Ukraine witnessed an unprecedented wave of private support for the army. Rinat Akhmetov’s military initiative, “Steel Front”, has delivered a batch of drones worth UAH 214 million to the 1st “Azov” Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine. This shipment is part of the Metinvest Group’s ongoing support for the unit in 2025.

Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest Group has completed the construction of an upgraded underground NATO Role 2 hospital in one of the hottest sectors of the frontline. This is the second stabilization point established under the Steel Front initiative in cooperation with the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
