Russian troops focusing efforts on Kurakhove and Porkovsk,- General Staff update

The Ukrainian troops have engaged in 78 combat clashes on the front line on Friday, according to the General Staff’s report. The enemy is focusing its offensive efforts on the Kurakhiv and Pokrovske sectors.
Border communities in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to suffer from artillery shelling and airstrikes from Russian territory.
Russian aviation continues to launch systematic bombardments in the Kharkiv region, dropping 11 guided bombs on Friday.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops have repelled seven enemy assaults near Slobozhanske, Hlyboke, and Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched three assaults on Ukrainian positions near Stelmakhivka, Tabaivka, and Pishchane. Fighting is still ongoing. The enemy targeted the key rail hub Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi and launched rockets near Synkivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops launched five attacks on Ukrainian positions near Nevske, Novoserhiivka, and Novoyehorivka. Two clashes forced the enemy to pull back, while three continue. The Russian troops remain most active in the Nevske area.
In the Siversk sector, they carried out three unsuccessful attacks near Verkhnokamianske and Ivanodarivka. The situation is under control.
In the Kramatorsk sector, our troops have repelled four enemy assaults near Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar while the enemy is putting pressure using aviation support and rocket strikes.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy conducted seven attacks near Zalizne, Pivnichne, and New York. The clashes are ongoing. The Russian troops have also carried out airstrikes on New York and Druzhba using unguided rockets.
The Pokrovske sector has seen the most intensive combat. The Russian troops have made 23 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from positions near Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Vesele, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka, and Tymofiivka. More than half of the clashes are still ongoing. The enemy also carried out four airstrikes on the areas of Oleksandropil and Novoselivka Persha.
Active fighting continues in the Kurakhove sector. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled eight attacks and are still engaged in four more clashes. The enemy is concentrating efforts in the areas around Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Paraskoviivka. They launched guided bombs targeting Ukrainsk.
In the Vremivka sector, an enemy assault near Vodiane was repelled. Fighting continues in four locations near Kostiantynivka, Staromlynivka, and Vodiane. The enemy launched unguided rocket strikes in the area of Urozhaine.
In the Orikhiv sector, enemy attacks were repelled near Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, and Novoandriivka. Apart from five attacks, they targeted the Mala Tokmachka community with seven guided bombs and fired over 120 unguided rockets. They also targeted Huliaipole, Lobkove, and Kamianske with rockets.
The situation remains largely unchanged in other sectors.
